Gutter Cleaning & Fall Cleanup: What to Ask Before You Book

Leaves on the lawn and leaves in the gutters call for different scopes. Here is a practical checklist for getting the right written quote.

The quick answer

  • Gutter cleaning is separately quoted and is not automatically included in a High Country fall cleanup plan.
  • Share the property address, building height, access details and photos taken safely from the ground.
  • Confirm the included gutter sections, downspout checks, debris disposal and exclusions in writing.

Are gutter cleaning and fall cleanup the same service?

No. Lawn and bed cleanup addresses debris around your outdoor space. Gutter cleaning addresses a different part of the property, with different access and scope requirements. At High Country Lawn & Landscape, gutter cleaning is separately quoted rather than automatically included in a fall cleanup plan.

If both jobs are on your list, mention both when you contact us. We can review the requested work together while keeping the scope and price of each service clear. Requesting both does not guarantee the same appointment or a bundle discount.

What information should you send?

A useful inquiry tells us where the property is and what you want assessed. You do not need to climb onto a roof or ladder to prepare a request. Photos taken from a safe position on the ground are a good starting point.

  • Your property address and contact details
  • The approximate number of stories
  • Which sides or sections need attention
  • Gate locations, narrow access or obstacles around the building
  • Whether gutter guards are present
  • Any overflowing areas, visible debris or drainage concerns you have noticed

If you do not know the gutter length or cannot see a section, say so. An estimate based on incomplete photos may need a site review before a final written quote can be provided.

What should the quote clarify?

Ask what is included rather than relying on the service name alone. Gutter guards, downspouts, difficult access and disposal can change the work required.

QuestionWhat to confirm
Which sections are included? The specific sides, lengths or buildings in the scope
Are guards involved?Whether removal, cleaning or reinstallation is included
What happens to debris?Collection and disposal arrangements
Are downspouts checked?Whether checks or clearing are included
What is excluded?Repairs, roof work or additional drainage work

This checklist is for comparing scopes. It is not a promise that every item is included in every High Country quote.

How should you plan around leaf drop?

Tell us which trees overhang the property and whether leaves are still falling. The right service window depends on the site and the work requested. We will confirm scheduling with the approved quote rather than promise a universal calendar date.

If you notice active overflow or a drainage concern, describe it in the inquiry so it can be assessed. A gutter-cleaning request does not replace a diagnosis of a roof, foundation or yard-drainage problem. Avoid assuming that cleaning alone will solve every water issue.

How does this fit with a fall plan?

High Country Fall 2026 cleanup plans start at $425 for Basic with two visits, $650 for Plus with three, and $950 for Complete with four. Those starting prices require property review and a written quote.

Gutter cleaning is separate. Weed spraying, aeration and overseeding are also separately quoted. See the fall plan comparison and current plan terms before selecting work.

Request the work you actually need

High Country serves Greater Cincinnati, including Mason, Loveland, West Chester and Blue Ash, subject to service and address approval. Send the details through our written quote request, or call 513-400-3222.

For standing water or a larger landscape project, you can also request a site visit. An inquiry does not book service or take a payment; the approved written quote confirms the work.

Common questions

Do I need to measure my gutters before asking for a quote?

No. Send the address, approximate building height and any photos you can safely take from the ground. We will let you know whether more information or a site review is needed.

Can I add gutter cleaning to my fall inquiry?

Yes. Include it in your request, and we will review it as separately quoted work. It is not automatically part of a fall cleanup plan.
